Cistern Spring, Norris Geyser Basin is easily viewed close-up from the boardwalk trail. Norris is the hottest geyser basin and the coolest place in Yellowstone. Due to an on-going eruption of Steamboat Geser, Cistern Spring is nearly empty here.
