Morro Spit.jpg
View down Morro Spit from beach trail head (reached from Montana de Oro State Park). Morro Rock lies in the background. Morro Spit was used for WWII troop training but is now a protected area. It encloses the largest estuary south of San Franciso. Protected Plovers are in the foreground. Also a popular surfing beach.
