Underground gunnery bunkers, circa WWI remain at Fort Casey State Park, Washington, where a triad of forts protected the entrance to Puget Sound. Adjaceent Admiralty Head Lighthouse marks both the point on Whibey Island and the historic 1901 gun emplacements of Fort Casey. Ironically, one facilitating, and one preventing, entry to Puget Sound through Admdiralty Inlet. Olympic Peninsula
