Public fishing pier disappears into fog on Battery Point, where the Pacific Ocean meets Crescent City Marina. Battery Point was an early hazard to shipping, primarily lumber, from Crescent City, CA. The lighthouse, lit in 1856, was one of the earliest on the coast. Crescent City sits along the famous Del Norte Coast of CA.
