Coolige, Montana is a ghost town preserved by the U.S. Forest Service in it's decayed state. Located off the Pioneer Mountain Scenic Byway, the town was larger than the more famous Bannack, but is a short hike and remains in ruin. Coolige was home to those working local gold deposits and the famous Elk Horn Silver Mine.
