World famous Grasshopper Creek flows along the base of these mountains in the Big Hole Valley in Southwestern Montana is nearly surrounded by the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest.  It is the highes valley in Montana, with the Big Hole River, winding about 150 miles, internationally famous for trout fishing.
