The Lolo Pass Visitor Center, on U.S. Highway 12 astride the Idaho Montana Border. The center is a collaboration of the National Park Service, the U.S. Forest Service, and the Nez Perce Tribe. Lewis and Clark crossed here, it is a designatied site along the Nez Perce National Historic Trail and the Nez Perce National Historic Park, as well as lying along historic wagon roads such as the gold rush pack train routes. Great camping abounds along U.S. 12.
